The Dallas Mavericks play host to the Golden State Warriors tonight, at America Airlines Center, for some slammin NBA action. The last time these two teams met up, the Mavericks walked away the victor 120-115 to get the road win.

The Dallas Mavericks recently beat the Atlanta Hawks, 97-84, at home after suffering back to back losses to Cleveland and Utah. Dirk Nowitzki had 22pts, 9 REB and 5 AST while four other Mavs had double digit points on the night. At one point during the game the Mavs had a 21pt lead. The Mavs offense is good for 100 PPG with most of their points coming from either inside the paint or the free throw line, where their ranked 1st in the league. They struggle from the 3-point line were they make 34% of their 3-pointers.  On defense they have been playing averagely. They allow 97 PPG and they’re struggling to defend in the paint and the 3-point shot. Their best stat on defense is that they pull down an average 31 DREB per game. The top producer for the Mavs is Dirk Nowitzki with 21 PPG and 8 REB per game, while Devin Harris leads his team in assists and steals. The Mavs are currently 14-3 at home and they sit in 2nd place in the Southwest Standings. A win tonight can put them in a tie for 1st with the Spurs. The Mavs are currently (13-17-1 ATS, 16-15 O/U).

The Golden State Warriors have won seven of their last ten games, after recently winning back to back road games over Houston and Denver.  Against the Rockets, Baron Davis was the hottest player scoring 23pts, 7 AST and 6 REB while five other Warriors had double digit points. The Warriors have the 2nd best PPG averaging 108 PPG and their extremely good on the fast break. They have the 3rd best OREB averaging 12 OREB per game. The Warriors could be a much better team if they worked on their horrible defense. They allow a league high 106 PPG and they allow way too many points in the paint. The Warriors are currently 11-7 on the road and they sit in 3rd place in the tough Pacific Standings. The Warriors are (16-16 ATS, 15-16 O/U).
Bottom Line:  The Warriors are coming off impressive road wins in Denver and Houston and I think they can give the Mavericks a run for their money. They might not get the win but they have a great chance at cashing in on the spread. Go Warriors!

Both teams are disappointed that they are not playing for the BCS title game this year. More so are the Mountaineers as they blew their chance at the national title game by losing at home to Pitt in the Big East final. They will want to prove something is today's game with the Sooners. West Virginia has an offense that can score from anywhere and have quarterback Pat White and running back Steve Slaton. In addition to White and Slaton, the Mountaineers also have the explosive Noel Devine who averaged 8.7 yards per carry this season. Despite West Virginia will be without head coach Rich Rodriguez who resigned to take the Michigan job they will play with some fire tonight and keep the game close.

Bottom Line: The Mountaineers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games. The Mountaineers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games on grass. The Mountaineers are 3-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

Oklahoma will win this game but the Mountaineers will try to salvage this season with a very hard fought effort
