Tonight’s Monday Night Football match up has the New Orleans
Saints hosting the Tennessee Titians. The Saints were been humiliated
in their first two games. Their season opener against the Colts
was an on slot which they were beaten 10-41, their next game against
the Buccaneers was no better; they were beaten 14-31. The Titians
won their season opener to the Jaguars 13-10, but then lost a close
game to the Colts 20-22.
The Tennessee Titians are off and running with QB Vince Young in
control. Young’s thrown for 262 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT.
RB Chris Brown has rushed for 209 yards so far and looking to add
more yards against a troubled Saints defense. The Titians are currently
ranked 1st in rushing yards with 120 yards per game. WR Roydell
Williams has 4 catches for 72 yards along with 1 TD. As for defense,
the Titians need to improve against the pass; they’ve allowed
their opponents to throw an average of 250 yards. They’ve
done well against the rush, only allowing 76 yards per game. This
should fair well against Reggie Bush.
The New Orleans Saints aren’t living up to their expectations
so far this season. QB Drew Brees has thrown for 452 yards with
1 TD, but has 3 INTs against him. RB Deuce McAllister has been held
to 101 yards rushing and catching and has 1 fumble so far. RB Reggie
Bush has also been stopped, so far he’s combined for 117 yards,
0 TDs and has 2 fumbles. It seems that the Saints RBs need to invest
in some stickum. WR Marques Colston has 14 catches for 117 yards
and WR Devery Henderson has 3 catches for 34 yards. The Saints defense
is allowing 265 yards in the air and 125 yards on the ground. They’re
allowing their opponents to score an average 36 points a game. OUCH!
Bottom Line: The Saints bring a sloppy defense
to the game which isn’t going to fair well against the Titians
scrambling QB Vince Young. It’s going to be wide open for
Young and his runningbacks. The Titians held the Colts to a close
game and the Saints are nowhere close to the offensive power of
the Colts. I don’t know why the odds makers favor the Saints,
maybe it’s because it’s the Saints home opener, but
I have nothing but faith in the Titians.
Go Titians!

San Diego at San Francisco

Padres -136
Bet
this fight at SBG Global
The San Diego Padres have picked the wrong time to get cold. Hopefully,
Chris Young can get them back on track tonight, as the Padres begin
a three-game series with the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park
but a game with the San Francisco is the right remedy for a win.
Since the Padres have gone cold there is a perfect chance to get
a game that would normally pit the Padres at a -160 or -180. So
the betting value is much more attractive in tonight's game.
Bottom Line: Barry Zito, who is 9-13 with a 4.56
ERA in his first year with the Giants. Zito had one of his worst
starts of the season on Wednesday in Arizona, as he gave up five
runs and nine hits in four innings. Zito has never beaten the Padres,
posting an 0-2 mark with a 3.16 ERA in six games, five of which
have been starts.
Great bet to make without at a good price
