Montreal (2-1-1-1) at Ottawa (6-1-0-0)

The talent laden Ottawa Senators will host the Montreal Canadiens
tonight at Scotia Bank Place. The Canadiens recently lost to the
Florida Panthers, 1-2 in a shootout, while the Senators beat the
N.Y. Rangers 3-1 on the road. The Ottawa Senators are a fast highly
skilled team with excellent goaltending. Jason Speeza and Dany Heately
lead the Sens with double digit points while Daniel Alfredson lags
one point behind. The Sens are getting points from their second
and third string lines which are key to the success of any team.
Last year’s hero in net Ray Emery has yet to start a game
but backup goalie Martin Gerber has proved he can stop pucks. He’s
started all six games for the Sens with a 5-1 record and a 2.00
GAA along with a shutout. The big question is do they put Emery
back in when he’s ready or do they stick with the goalie whose
hot right now?
The Montreal Canadiens are a team in disarray with no help in site.
Alex Kovalev has voiced his frustration after their recent loss
to the Panthers questioning his coach’s tactics in the final
minutes of the game. This is not good to do! The only thing going
for the Habs is their power play. Saku Koivu and Andrei Markov lead
the Habs with a measly five points. Goaltender Carey Price started
one game and got the win while starter Cristobal Huet is 1-4 with
a 2.17 GAA. The Habs are winless at home but they’re surprisingly
2-0 on the road.
Bottom Line: The Habs are just plain frustrated
and that’s not a good thing to bring with you on the road.
The Sens are 3-1 at home and they’re averaging four goals
a game at home. The Habs struggle on defense and offense.
With a hot goalie in net for the Sens, look for Ottawa to
bury the Habs!

Utah Utes at TCU Horned Frogs

this NCAA Football Game at Sportsbook.com
With the recent return of QB Brian Johnson, the Utes will be heading
to Fort Worth TX tonight for a battle with an overerrated Horned
Frog squad who had to scramble last week with a strong 2nd half
to get a win at Palo Alto over Stanford. On the flip side, the Utes
won handily at home over San Diego St. NOTE- This is the same Utah
team that whacked Ucla in Mid- September and also won easily on
the road at Louisville a few weeks ago! This is a REVENGE spot for
the Horned Frogs who lost 20-7 last year in Salt Lake City. However,
this Tcu team is not the same club from last year. This Tcu outfit
is giving up close to 24 Pts per game this year which is unheard
of for a Gary Patterson coached team. This matchup should be a very
tight-competitive game, but in the end i see the Utes coming away
from Fort Worth w a SU road win tonight!
Bottom Line: Those of you into numbers, Utes are
13-1-1 ATS record as ROAD DOGS. On the flip side, Horned Frogs are
on a 1-7 ATS run in Weekday games.
Add it all up, and it equals a Utah win on the road tonight!
Final Utah 31 TCU 23
