The Pittsburgh Steelers bring their hard hitting defense and powerful
offense to go up against the Ravens. Last week the Steelers had a
24-13 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. WR Hines Ward had a big day
with 8 receptions for 88 yards along with 2 TDs. On offense, The Steelers
rushing game is their bread and butter which is why they’re
ranked 6th in rushing yards per game with 159 yards. They’ve
got the 5th best points scored average with 26 points per game. The
one thing the Steelers are famous for is their bone crushing defense.
They allow the least amount of yards per game, 256 YDS; they allow
the least amount of points per game, 13. They’re currently ranked
4th at stopping the pass and rush. The Steelers are a hard team to
score on, especially with QB Ben Roethlisberger leading the offense
down the field. WR Santonio Holmes leads the Steelers with 4 TDs and
RB Willie Parker leads with 726 YDS rushing.
The Baltimore Ravens are currently coming off their Bye Week. The
Ravens are known for their hard hitting defense that can stop an offense
dead in their tracks. They’re ranked 2nd in total yards allowed,
268 YDS, they’re fully capable of stopping the rush which they
allow 71 YDS a game. They could use some improvement at stopping the
pass, but when they only allow their opponents 17 points a game, it’s
nothing to get too worried about. Offensively the Ravens are in big
trouble. QB Steve McNair has been plagued by injuries, but he is expected
to play tonight. He’s only thrown for 922 YDS along with 2 TDs.
WR D.Mason is the only receiver to catch for 2 TDs and RB W.McGahee
has 146 carries for 639 YDS with 2 TDs. They’ve got big problems
scoring points. They average about 17 points per game.
Bottom Line: It’s going to be a battle of the
defenses tonight. Don’t expect a lot of ground-n-pound, but
rather a lot of throwing from Big Ben. The Ravens QB McNair is washed
up and seriously injury prone.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets hurt tonight and back up
Kyle Boller comes in. The Steel Wheels will roll right over the Ravens.
Go Steelers!

this NBA Game at Bodog Life
The Houston Rockets at 3-0 are off to their best start in 11 years.
Staying unbeaten will be difficult though as they travel to Dallas
to face a Mavericks team that they rarely beat. Dallas is 2-1 on the
season and is coming off a 123-102 win against Sacramento on Saturday.
Both these teams have great scorers that can score at will with Yao
Ming and Tracy McGrady really playing well at the start of the season.
Each team will try to make an early statement and try to run the other
team out of the building
Bottom Line: The Over is 4-1 in the Mavericks last 5 games
as a home favorite.
The will be a shootout in Big D tonight
