The Tennessee Titians will make their way to the Mile High State to take on the Denver Broncos for some Monday Night Football, at Invesco Field. The Denver Broncos are coming off an impressive, 27-11 road win, over the K.C. Chiefs last week. QB Jay Cutler was 17/29 for 192 YDS along with 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Selvin Young managed 109 YDS on the day going up against a hardnosed Chiefs defense. They opted more for the pass game, Brandon Marshall was 6 for 85 YDS and Daniel Graham had the only receiving TD. The Broncos defense made 3 INT on the day. Their defense is currently ranked 8th in PASS YDS allowed, 197 YDS, and they have troubles stopping the rush. They give up an average 151 YDS a game. Offensively they’re average. Their good for an average 228 PASS YDS and 117 RUSH YDS, but they struggle to score points. They’re good for a low 17 pts a game. The Broncos running game good be in trouble tonight with injuries to their running backs. RB Travis Henry and Paul Smith are questionable. The Broncos are currently 2-3 at home and they sit in 2nd place in the AFC West Standings.
The Tennessee Titians are coming off a, 13-28 home loss, to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. QB Vince Young was 24/41 for 257 YDS with 1 TD and 2 INT. He also ran for 52 YDS, more than any of their running backs. WR Justin Cage was the big catcher on the day with 7 catches for 90 YDS. The Titians aren’t getting the passing game they once had. They’re good for 158 PASS YDS a game and they can only muster up an average 19 pts a game. They do however have a great running game that is ranked 4th in the league; they’re good for an average 139 RUSH YDS. RB LenDale White leads the Titians with 625 RUSH YDS and 5 TDS. Defense is the Titians bread and butter. They give up an average 269 YDS a game, for a 2nd place ranking and they’re ranked 4th in RUSH YDS allowed, 77 YDS. The Titians give up a low average 16 pts a game. The Titians are currently 3-1 on the road and they sit in 3rd place in the AFC South Standings.
Bottom Line: The Broncos are going to have a weak running game tonight against the Titians tough defense. The Broncos may be without their two best RB’s. The Titians will be looking to run the ball against the Broncos defense that has trouble stopping the rush. QB Vince Young works well under pressure and out of the pocket. The Titians have won their last two Monday Night Football match ups.
