The Dallas Mavericks will host last year’s NBA Champions, San Antonio Spurs, at the Reunion Arena for some slammin jammin NBA action. The San Antonio Spurs are looking good enough to repeat as NBA Champs. With their only loss to the Houston Rockets, every game beyond that has been a blowout. They recently beat the L.A. Lakers 107-92 at home. Although the Spurs have a stacked starting five and a bench that can be their own NBA team, the best part of their game right now is their defense. They allow their opponents an average 88 pts a game and they can shut down their opponent’s 3 point shooting, which is why they’re ranked 4th. They rarely foul in the paint and they excel at rebounding. Their last game against the Lakers Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen combined for 49 pts while Manu Ginobili and Matt Bonner came off the bench to contribute 32 pts. Tim Duncan had an off day contributing only 5 pts. Robert Horry is questionable for tonight’s game due to a hamstring injury. The Spurs are currently 2-1 on the road and they sit in 1st place in the Southwest Standings.
The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a recent, 99-84, home win against the Philadelphia 76ers. The best part of the Mavs game right now is their offense. They average 102 pts per game and they’re a ranked 1st in free throw shooting. You don’t want to foul any of the Mavs players. One thing not in their favor is offensive rebounding. Their 3 point shooting is way down, but it’s still early in the season so there’s no need to panic. Defensively they allow too many points per game, 95, and too many points in the paint. They need to cut down on fouling because they’re allowing their opponents too many points from the foul line. Their last game against the 76ers Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard combined for 39 pts and Jason Terry came off the bench and contributed 25 pts. Nowitzki is a rebounding animal who had 12 rebounds on the night. The Mavs are a perfect 3-0 at home and they sit 3rd in the Southwest Standings.
Bottom Line: It’s going to be too close to pick a definite winner so I’m going with OVER 188 pts. The Mavs don’t have the greatest defense. Both teams can score lots of points, especially the Spurs bench. They both are good for at least 100 pts a game.

This MMA fight is a no brainer. Marcus Aurelio is one of the best fighters in the world and he has the Carlson Gracie BJJ background and American Top Team MMA team to back him up. Luke Caudillo 13-8 will have a very tough time against Marcus Aurelio who has fought some of the best fighters in the world. He lost to Clay Guidas at UFC 74: Respect in a decision I thought he should have won. Aurelio has fought in Pride and was the first persons to beat Takanori Gomi. He has great BJJ skills under the Carlson Gracie lineage and his stand up skills are incredible since he has started training at ATT. His Brazilian Jujitsu are off the chart and he will want to make a statement after his loss to Guida.
Bottom Line: Luke Caudillo has no business being in this fight. Six of Caudillo's 8 loses have come by submission and he will be fighting a submission specialist
This fight will be over quick with either a submission or KO by Aurelio
