The Dallas Mavericks will host the Denver Nuggets tonight, at America Airlines Center, for some NBA action. The Dallas Mavericks suffered a road loss yesterday to the San Antonio Spurs, 95-97. Jason Terry and Josh Howard were the top producers for the Mavs and Dirk Nowitzki had 15pts and 9 rebounds. Brandon Bass was the go to guy off the bench with 18pts and 6 rebounds. The Mavs have five wins in their last ten games. Their offense is motoring right along averaging 102 PPG with the majority of them coming from inside the paint. Their 3-point shooting is down tremendously and they’re currently the best team at the free throw line. Defensively the Mavs are playing averagely. They give up an average 98 PPG, they’re great at defending in the paint and they struggle to defend the 3-pointer. They do get a lot of defensive rebounds but they don’t get enough offensive rebounds. The top producers for the Mavs are Josh Howard with 21 PPG and Devon Harris leads in assists and steals. Dirk Nowitzki is a rebounding fool averaging 8 RPG. The Mavs are currently 8-1 at home and they sit tied for 2nd place in the Southwest Standings. The Mavs are (7-12 ATS, 13-6 O/U).
The Denver Nuggets are coming off a, 107-111, home loss to the L.A. Lakers. Allen Iverson had an amazing night with 51pts and 8 assist. Carmelo Anthony had 26pts and Marcus Camby was a huge asset with an incredible 20 rebounds, 16 of them were on defense. The Nuggets have five wins in their last ten games. They have the fourth best PPG averaging 106 PPG but for a team averaging that many points per game they’re just average in the paint and at dropping the 3-pointer. Defense is where the Nuggets seem to struggle. They give up an average 102 PPG but their ranked in the Top 10 at defending in the paint and at not allowing too many free throws. The top producer for the Nuggets is Carmelo Anthony with 25 PPG and Allen Iverson leads in assists and steals. Marcus Camby is the rebound king averaging 15 RPG and 3 BPG. The Nuggets are currently 3-5 on the road and they sit in 2nd place in the Northwest Standings. The Nuggets are (9-10 ATS, 9-10 O/U).
Bottom Line: It’s going to be an offensive showdown between two high scoring teams. The Nuggets are poor on the road and the Mavs excel at home.
Look for the Mavs to go 9-1 at home. Go Mavericks.

Heat -1
Bet on NBA at Bodog Life
Dwayne Wade was suppose to return to the Heat lineup tonight but it look like he will still be riding the pine. However on paper the Heat are a much better team that just have not played well lately. Heat to head the Heat have owned Portland, as Miami went 2-0 against Portland last season and has won five straight in the series. The Heat have also won three in a row at the Rose Garden. They just seem to have the Blazers number experience and coaching will get the Heat out of their funk against a young inexperience Blazer team.
Bottom Line: The Heat are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. The Northwest. The Heat are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite. The Heat are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games playing on 2 days of rest. The Heat are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Portland. The road team is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
Look for Heat to snap their losing streak
