The red hot Portland Trailblazers play host to the Denver Nuggets tonight, at the Rose Garden, for some slammin NBA action.
The Portland Trailblazers have nine wins out of ten games with no sight of slowing down. The Blazers season was expected to be poor without Greg Oden, but they couldn’t have been more wrong. Their most recent win was over the Toronto Raptors, 101-96, at home. Brandon Roy was their top player on the night with 29pts, 8 AST, 9 REB and four other starters pitched in double digit points to get the win for the Blazers. The Blazers offense manages an average of 95 PPG and the majority of their points come from inside the paint and from the 3-point line. They are the fourth best team from the 3-point line. They aren’t the greatest team at pulling down offensive rebounds or defensive rebounds. On defense they allow 97 PPG (#10) and they’re the third best team in the league at preventing the 3-point shot. The top producer for the Blazers is Brandon Roy with 19 PPG, 6 AST and he leads his team in steals. The Blazers are currently 11-3 at home and they sit in 2nd place in the Northwest Standings. They are currently (16-10 ATS, 11-15 O/U).

The Denver Nuggets have six wins in their last ten games after their most recent, 112-111 OT, win over the Houston Rockets at home. Carmelo Anthony had a huge night with 37pts, 16 REB and Allen Iverson chipped in with 36pts and 9 AST. Marcus Camby is great under the basket as he pulled down 18 REB. The Nuggets put up the third most PPG averaging 106 PPG and their playing averagely from the 3-point line and from inside the paint. On defense their great at defending in the paint and they allow a high 102 PPG.  The top producer for the Nuggets is Allen Iverson with 26 PPG, 7 AST and he leads his team in steals. Marcus Camby is a huge asset for rebounds and blocks. The Nuggets are currently 4-6 on the road and they sit in 1st place in the Northwest Standings. They are (10-15 ATS, 12-13 O/U).

Bottom Line:  With a win tonight the Trailblazers can tie Denver for first place. The Blazers are the hottest team in the NBA and they’ve got the second best home record, besides Boston.

It will be a long high scoring game, possible OT, with the Blazers coming away the victor!

Wanderlei will lay a beating on Chuck in the first right and at the start of the second round will punish Chuck until the ref will mercifully stop this fight.
