The Minnesota Vikings will host the Chicago Bears tonight, at Hubert Humphrey Metrodome, for some Monday Night Football. The last time these two teams met up, in Chicago, the Vikings won 34-31. The Chicago Bears have endured back to back losses, literally killing their chances of making the playoffs. Their most recent loss was to the Washington Redskins, 16-24, on the road. The bears were held pointless until the third quarter. The Bears used both QBs; QB Brian Griese was 27/45 for 295 YDS with 1 TD and 2 INT and QB Rex Grossman was 2/6 for 14 YDS. RB Adrian Peterson was held to a low 35 YDS and the top receiver for the Bears was WR Bernard Berrian with 7 REC for 91 YDS along with 1 TD. The Bears running game is the worst in the league and their pass game is averaging 223 PASS YDS (#14). They average about 19 PPG and on defense they allow 22 PPG. Their defense is just as bad as their offense. They are ranked above 20th in the league at total yards allowed, pass yards allowed and rush yards allowed. They literally have no defense. The top producer for the Bears is Devin Hester with 6 TD and their best rusher is RB Cedric Benson. The Bears are (5-8 ATS, 7-6 O/U).
The Minnesota Vikings will be looking for their fifth win in a row tonight. Their last win was over the San Francisco 49ers, 27-7, in San Fran. QB Tavaris Jackson was 16/25 for 163 YDS with 1 INT. RB Chester Taylor was the top rusher with 8 carries for 101 YDS with 1 TD. The Vikings are the best team in the league at running the ball; they average an amazing 172 RUSH YDS. Their pass game is the pits but when you’re going up against a team with no rush defense, it shouldn’t be a problem. They average 23 PPG. Their defense is the best team at stopping the rush but they struggle at defending the pass. They allow a low 18 PPG. RB Adrian Peterson is the go to guy on the ground with 11 TD. The Bears are (7-6 ATS, 7-6 O/U).
Bottom Line: It’s going to be an ugly game tonight with the Vikings running the ball down the Bears throats. The Vikings will want to apply as much pressure on the Bears QB, who is well known for throwing up interceptions.
The Vikings will win five in a row!

Spurs -2.5
Bet on NBA at Bodog Life
The Spurs had been playing without Tim Duncan for over a week but he is back in the lineup and despite the Spurs being injury prone they seem to have their number on the Suns. Playing at the Alamo Dome has always been hard for the high flying Suns against a very defensive minded Spurs teams. The Spurs will be able to play their game and change the way the Suns play and dictate the flow. If the Spurs want to run up the court they will and if they want to slow the pace down they will. Pace will be the deciding factor of the game and San Antonio will be able to dictate it.
Bottom Line: The Suns are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 1 day of rest. The Suns are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Suns are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Western Conference. The Suns are 7-15-1 ATS in the last 23 meetings between the two teams. The Spurs are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Spurs are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Western Conference. The Spurs are 23-7-1 ATS in their last 31 home games. The favorite is 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings between the two teams and the home team is 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
