Denver (6-7) at Houston (6-7)

Denver -2
Bet this NFL game at Sportsbook.com

The Houston Texans host the Denver Broncos tonight, at Reliant Stadium, for some Thursday Night Football. It’s a must win for either team tonight if they want any chance at making the playoffs. They will also need a lot of help from other teams as well.
The Houston Texans are coming off an impressive home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 28-14. QB Sage Rosenfels was 27/36 for 209 YDS with 3 TDs and their WR Andre Johnson and WR Kevin Walter each had a TD. Their defensive line had a total of 4 sacks on the Bucs QB. Their #1 QB Matt Schaub was injured in Week 14 and he will not play tonight. The Texans do have offense but most of it has come from QB Schaub. They’re ranked 9th averaging 246 PASS YDS and their running game struggles averaging just 91 RUSH YDS. They average about 22 PPG. The Texans defense has been their undoing. They’re average at stopping the pass, but their awful at stopping the rush, which is ranked 23rd allowing 119 YDS per game. WR Andre Johnson leads his Texans with 6 TDs and RDE Mario Williams has 9.5 sacks on the year. The Texans are 4-2 at home and they currently sit in last place in the AFC South Standings, one game behind Tennessee.

The Denver Broncos laid a beating to the K.C. Chiefs at home last week 41-7. QB Jay Cutler was 20/27 for 244 YDS with 4 TDs. RB Travis Henry contributed a TD and RB Selvin Young had a great day running for 156 YDS. WR Brandon Marshall had 2 TDs on the day and WR Daniel Graham and WR Brandon Stokley each contributed a TD. Denver’s’ defense had 5 sacks on the Chiefs QB. Their offense mostly consists of the running game which is 6th best in the league and their pass game is averaging 229 PASS YDS. They manage about 21 PPG. Defensively they’re great at stopping the pass but their strangely horrible at stopping the rush. RE Elvis Dumerville was recently named Defensive Player of the Week. The Broncos are currently 2-4 on the road and they sit in 2nd place in the AFC West Standings.

Bottom Line:   The Broncos are feeling really confident after crushing the Chiefs. Yet so must the Texans. It’s going to be up to the QBs to see who walks away victorious. The Broncos have the most experienced QB and a hot RB.

Denver should walk away from this game a winner, to keep their playoff hopes alive!

San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers

Spurs +5
Bet on NBA at Bodog Life

The Spurs team is so deep that even without Duncan the Spurs can beat the spread against the Lakers tonight. The Lakers have been off for three straight days which may lead them to be rusty coming out of the gates. The Spurs have won two in a row in the series. San Antonio has also won six of its last seven at the Lakers. The Spurs are too well coached and experience and they will be able to play defensively enough to hold the Lakers on the point spread.

Bottom Line: The Spurs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Spurs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Western Conference. The Spurs are 22-7-2 ATS in their last 31 games playing on 1 day of rest. The road team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between the two teams. The Lakers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Thursday games.

The Spurs may not win but they will on the point spread
