Striker Didier Drogba got the winner as Chelsea got by Valencia
2-1 in Champions League action. The Group B match was a huge win

On the other side of the coin, AC Milan lost another game as their
season disintegrates. A last minute goal by Scott McDonald gave
Celtic the 2-1 win. In other action last season's finalists and
2005 winners Liverpool suffered a surprising 1-0 loss at home to
Marseille in Group A with Mathieu Valbuena getting the winner in
the 77th minute. Elsewhere it was Goran Pandev getting a big goal
in Lazio's 2-2 draw with Real Madrid. Spanish champions Real took
a ninth minute lead when Dutch striker Van Nistelrooy took Wesley
Sneijder's free kick past keeper Marco Ballotta. Lazio's Pandev
tied it with a left-foot volley before Van Nistlerooy struck again
but it was Pandev scored again to equalize it.
Also, Ricardo Quaresma scored the winner in stoppage time as 2004
champions Porto won 1-0 at Besiktas.

Jones and Kevin Kuranyi scored second half goals to give Schalke
a 2-0 win at Norway's Rosenborg Trondheim. Benfica lost 1-0 at home
