It’s hard to believe that, at 6-8, both these teams are still
alive in the playoff hunt. The Minnesota Vikings have lost 6 of
their last 8 and the Green Bay Packers have lost 4 of their last
8. Both teams will have to win out to have any chance, and the Atlanta
Falcons and the New York Giants, currently holding down the last
NFC playoff spot, will have to lose their last two games.

The Seattle Seahawks know what they have to do on Thursday. And they
are fully aware of how things can turn out. First, Seattle can win
the NFC West with a win over the San Francisco 49ers. That gets them
into the post-season and another try for the Trophy of Vince.
Atlanta has now lost 4 straight and, at 5-6, are in danger of missing
the playoffs. Last week against the Saints, the Falcon receiving corps
couldn’t catch anything. There were so many dropped passes that
Atlanta QB Michael Vick had one of his worst passing efforts of his
career, 9 for 24 and 84 yards.

enough yards to put him in fifth place in the NFL. The Lions can
put points up on the board, but not against this fine Miami defense.
Dolphin DE Jason Taylor is having a great season. Last week against
the Vikings, Taylor picked off a pass and scored. Cornerback Renaldo
Hill had the same result with a fumble recovery to help a horrible
effort by the Miami running team. The Dolphins rushed for -3 yards
on the day.
Grey Cups are usually close games, falling within the touchdown
spread more often than not. However, this year’s game looks
like it will fall anywhere between a 6 and 24 point spread, for

The question gets asked every year at this time when a good team
with a favorable schedule sports an undefeated record. A perfect
season to match the ’72 Miami Dolphins’ is something
every NFL team strives for. But the list of teams remaining
undefeated shortens quickly. There are only two teams left
with a 0 in the loss column – Chicago Bears and Indianapolis
Colts.
