SBG Global Opening Line: Lakers -2.5, Total 197

Two teams battling for the Western Conference playoffs meet tonight in Los Angeles as the Clippers face the Lakers. The Lakers are in seventh place in the West, but have lost six of eight and there are five teams competing for the final three playoff spots. The Clippers are a half-game behind Golden State for eighth place, but they have lost three in a row. They trail the Lakers by 2.5 games. So much is riding on tonight’s game, so it is not a surprise that SBG Global reports the gambling public is split on the decision but has more money line wagers on the Lakers.

"We're up against the world right now," Clippers forward Elton Brand said. "Two days ago, it was like, 'OK, you guys are in. Now who are you going to play?' Now, it's, 'How are you guys gonna get in?' We've just got to dig deep, play harder in the third and fourth quarters."

The Clippers have five games remaining. Corey Maggette is averaging 16.5 points per game and has scored 24 in each of his last three games. He is averaging 23.5 points in his last 10 games against the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 2.5 point favorites with a total of 197 at SBG Global.

The Lakers are not playing much better than the Clippers. They haven't beaten a team with a winning record since defeating Utah on Feb. 26th. The Lakers lost 115-111 at Denver on Monday night. Kobe Bryant had just 23 points.

Bryant has averaged 37.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5 assists in his last nine games against the Clippers. Lamar Odom is averaging 19 points in three games this season against the Clippers.

The Lakers have four games remaining. The Lakers are 2-1 against the Clippers this season and 40-12 in the series since the 1994-95 season.

The Clippers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Clippers are 11-25-1 ATS in their last 37 games as an underdog.
