Arizona Diamondbacks (37-27) at New York Yankees (30-31)
Tuesday, 7:05 pm Eastern
SBG Global Opening
Line: Yankees -185, Total 8.5 Under (-115)
The best pitching matchup on Tuesday night takes place in Yankee
Stadium as the red-hot New York Yankees host Brandon Webb and the
Arizona Diamondbacks. The Yankees are looking to get back to .500
tonight but they have to beat one of the best pitchers in the game
in Brandon Webb to do it. New York has won a season-high six in
a row. They haven’t won seven straight since 2005. SBG
Global reports that early betting has the public taking
the Yankees at home.
"Looseness. These guys are having fun with each other,"
Yankees manager Joe Torre said.
"Joe sat us all down and talked to us very firmly," Yankees
third baseman Alex Rodriguez said. "I think our mood came,
and then the winning came after."
The Yankees are batting .336 during the winning streak to up their
season average to .281, fourth-best in the majors. Right fielder
Bobby Abreu has broken out of a slump to go 19-for-38 in the last
10 games to raise his average from .228 to .272. "I'm swinging
at better pitches right now," Abreu said. "I'm more consistent
right now. I always stay positive."
The
Yankees are -175 favorites with a total of 8.5 Under (-115) at SBG
Global.
