Fausto Carmona will get his second straight start against the Detroit Tigers as the two top teams in the American League Central meet again this week, this time in Detroit. Last Wednesday, Carmona struck out a career high 10 and allowed just two runs and four hits in eight innings of a 5-2 win against the Tigers. Jurrjens (0-1, 5.14) will make his home debut for Detroit. He threw 104 pitches Wednesday over seven innings in his first major league start. He gave up four runs and five hits with two walks and three strikeouts. "I was in a fantasy world," said Jurrjens, "This was the first time my dad saw me pitch (as a professional). I recognized his whistle in the crowd. That was the best feeling ever. I thought I pitched OK, but that Carmona was incredible. He has the best two-seamer in the game."
